School districts, and where their boards meet
The school board is the elected body most people live closest to, and the one whose meetings are hardest to find from outside. This lists every district that has a board of its own, with the website where it posts that board’s meetings.

What this cannot show
When a board meets or what it decided. Each district publishes its own meetings; the row links to the website the district reported to NCES.

- Which district a particular home is in. A district's office is in one county, and many districts cross county lines.
- A district whose website NCES does not have, or a website that has since moved.
- The 2025–26 school year. NCES has published no files for it yet; this is the 2024–25 directory, the newest available.
Where this comes from
National Center for Education Statistics, Common Core of Data, local education agency directory 2024-25 (v.1a, released 30 July 2025), and the EDGE district geocode file for the same year. Both files are the National Center for Education Statistics’ own, downloaded whole: the district directory and the district geocodes, which place each office in a county. Included: regular districts, supervisory unions, specialized districts and independent charter districts. Left out: service agencies and agencies run by a state or the federal government, whose boards are not local, and districts NCES lists as closed, inactive or not yet open.
