The Beam

Where you stand, and who stands above you

Six levels of government, from you up to the United States. One door on each rung, and every door opens a record.

Level: U.S.
Who speaks for you in Washington
Members of Congress, their votes and filings, read from the record.
Level: State
Your state's constitution and statutes
The law library, one document per address.
Level: County
Four published numbers about your county
By state, from the Census.
Level: City
Who governs where you live
Every local government and special district the Census counts.
Level: School
Your school district and its board
Every public district with a board of its own.
Level: You
Who represents me
Your address, sent once and never stored.

That is everything on the Beam for now.
